2001 Causes trouble for Hayley and Roy when they briefly foster her. Returns to live in the Street after getting a job at the knicker factory.
2002 Falls for Kirk and is initially embarrassed about it!
2003 Horrified when Les Battersby starts dating her estranged mum Cilla. Shares a Christmas kiss with Tyrone.
2004 Splits from Kirk and sleeps with Tyrone. Turns down proposals from both Tyrone and Kirk. Reunites with Kirk.
2005 Helps Kirk run the kennels. Old school rival Molly Compton starts work and attempts to split them up.
2006 Discovers that Cilla has cancer. Horrified when Cilla admits she lied about it being terminal.
Born in 1984, Jennie was brought up in Bury, Greater Manchester, by her mental health worker dad, Tom, after he divorced her mum when Jennie was a child. Jennie also has an older brother, Thomas.
A keen amateur dramatist, Tom encouraged Jennie’s interest in the stage and her first performance was alongside Tom in panto. She went on to reach the finals of the Young Comedian of the Year competition when she was just 13, and was signed up for four episodes of Corrie when she was 17. Jennie started work in Boots the Chemist after her brief stint, but was invited back several months later and has stayed in the show ever since.
