2002 Born on 8 April, mum Maxine doesn’t know whether his dad is her husband, Ashley, or her ex-lover, Matt Ramsden.
2003 Maxine is murdered. Ashley discovers he isn’t Josh’s dad but vows to bring him up. Claire Casey becomes Josh’s live-in nanny and surrogate mum.
2006 Real dad Matt turns up and demands access. Ashley reluctantly lets Matt see him.
2007 Feared dead in a house fire but found mysteriously abandoned in a park.
