Jimmi Clay

Thoughtful and patient, and inclined to show off occasionally, but not in a nasty way, Dr Jimmi Clay has a relaxed manner with his patients, and loves the ladies!

The Mill's associate and police surgeon, Jimmi grew up in Cardiff and his mother was knocked down by a car and killed instantly when he was eight. As a result of a tough upbringing by his father, Jimmi suffers from claustrophobia and mild OCD, which manifests as excessive handwashing under periods of stress.

2005 Jimmi arrives at the Mill. Married to older Amanda, both realised their marriage wasn't working. And when Jimmi discovered that Amanda had lied about having cancer, their marriage was definitely over.

2006 Jimmi moves into a new flat and remains 'just friends' with Sarah. But at Greg and Rico's wedding, he proposes to Sarah but gets turned down, as she leaves to take up a job in Brazil.

September 2006 On the eve of his father's wedding, Jimmi confronts Alun about the abuse he suffered. His father's fiancé Carol has an eight-year-old son, Gareth, and when Jimmi sees Gareth flinch at Alun's touch, he tells Carol the truth about Alun. Carol promptly calls off the wedding, and the next day Jimmi faces Alun - finally defeating the monster.

2007 Jimmi is disappointed when Nick is chosen to be partner over him, and when Julia reveals his OCD to Joe he resigns. While working out his notice he applies for the police surgeon position as does Nick. Training is offered to them both, and after Nick's accident Jimmi retracts his resignation. He completes his police surgeon training and becomes involved with the new DI, Eva, unaware she's involved in a long-term relationship.

2008 After ending her relationship, Eva and Jimmi become an item but Jimmi suffers a huge blow when Eva suffers a miscarriage. After a period of separation, Jimmi and Eva realise they love each other and she moves in with him. Eva works undercover to expose police homicide and a drugs racket. When her cover is blown, the police stage Eva's death in order to continue the investigation and Eva has to disappear from Letherbridge and Jimmi's life.
