EastEnders veteran June Brown - aka Dot Branning - thinks that her screen son Nick should be the next character to make a return to Walford.
Nick - played by actor John Altman - has not been seen in Albert Square since 2001, although he gained a reputation as one of the most villainous characters ever to grace the soap.
During his time in the show he tried to poison Dot, as well as causing trouble for other residents and fighting drug addiction - however Brown told The Sun that Dot "needs him in her life".
"I really want to know when my Nick is coming back," she said."We know how much she loves him even though he's sometimes trouble."
Nick was last heard of in 2006 when the character was said to be battling cancer.
If he were to return to the soap he would be the latest in a string of older characters to make a comeback.
Patsy Palmer and Sid Owen - Bianca and Ricky - recently returned, while Janine Butcher - played by actress Charlie Brooks - has announced she is coming back to Walford.
