David Wicks is back in EastEnders for his mother Pat's funeral and working on the arrangements draws him close to old flame Carol.
But her brother, bad boy Derek Branning, is less than impressed and makes violent threats against David next week.
When David and Michael's plan to get rid of Derek goes wrong, it's David who decides to flee the square. But can he persuade Carol to leave with him?
