Charlie Slater
Good-natured cabbie Charlie Slater (Derek Martin) spends most of his time sorting out the complicated lives of his daughters, his mother-in-law and niece Stacey. When all around him is chaos, Charlie will suggest a nice cup of tea.

2000 Arrives in Walford with Little Mo, Lynne, Kat and Zoe, and mother-in-law Mo Harris after the death of his wife, Viv, from a stroke.
2001 Horrified to discover brother Harry raped daughter Kat when she was a teen. Charlie had brought up Kat's daughter Zoe as his own, not knowing the identity of the father.
2002 Learns Harry has died. Charlie later has a heart attack and is rushed to hospital. Gives Little Mo away to Billy Mitchell on her wedding day.
2004 Jailed for three months after attacking Graham Foster, Little Mo's rapist. Daughter Lynne leaves Walford. Takes in niece Stacey Slater when she has trouble at home.
2005 Granddaughter Zoe and daughter Kat leave the Square.
2007 Proudly walks Stacey down the aisle as she marries Bradley Branning.
2008 Starts a romance with Salvation Army member Brenda Boyle.
2009 Takes troubled Danielle Jones under his wing. Devastated when Danielle's run over and killed by Janine Butcher. Leaves Walford with Brenda, returns with new Russian girlfriend, Orlenda.
