2000 Goes to live with Terry Raymond when dad abandons her yet again. Starts working for him but lies, cheats, steals - and becomes addicted to cocaine. Sleeps with her dealer, who assaults Terry when he tries to warn him off. Terry leaves Walford.

2001 Becomes a prostitute to pay her dealer.

2002 Several Albert Square residents try to rescue Janine but Ian Beale uses her services. She blackmails him. Quits prostitution. Falls in love with Billy Mitchell but he's marrying Little Mo Slater.

2003 Works for Barry Evans. She and Paul Trueman begin an affair and come up with a plan to con Barry out of his money. She seduces Barry. He proposes, she accepts, thinking he has a terminal illness. After the New Year's Eve wedding, she finds out he's fit as a fiddle, so kills him.

2004 Boasts to Pat Evans she's got away with murder so Pat frames her for the death of Laura Beale, who fell down stairs.

2005 Stands trial for murder. Pat tells the truth. Janine's freed and disappears.

2008 Returns for dad Frank's funeral in April. In December, Pat and Ricky expose her as a fraud at her Jewish wedding to David. He dies of a heart attack just after ceremony and all she's left with is a stuffed cat. Moves in with Pat.

2009 Steals from Pat. Moves in with Peggy and steals from her. Moves in with Billy Mitchell and Jay Brown. Finds stuffed cat holds money (a lot of which Jay has spent). Discovers Ricky is Tiffany's father. Accidentally runs over and kills Ronnie Mitchell's daughter, Danielle Jones. Rents a room to Ryan Malloy, Whitney Dean's half-brother and someone who's more than her equal when it comes to lying, cheating and stealing.

Nov 2009 Sleeps with flatmate Ryan.

Dec 2010 Moves into the Vic. Sleeps with Ian then blackmails him with the audio recording. Accepts Archie's marriage proposal, despite the matter of a big age gap. But he throws her out on Christmas Day when he reveals he's been using her to get his hands on the pub.

Jan 2010 Both Ronnie and Roxy accuse her of killing Archie. Discovers she basically left out of his will and tells Ian she'll go to the police with the audio recording unless he stumps up money. He doesn't so SHE does. Pat has a heart attack after arguing with her stepdaughter.

Feb 2010 Police find her engagement ring at her flat and suspect her of kiling Archie. Later learns Peggy planted the ring at her flat.

Sept 2010 Marries Ryan despite last-minute nerves.

Oct 2010 Abducts baby Lily and persuades Ryan to leave the square with her and make a new life in France. But their car breaks down on a level crossing. They survive a near disaster and manage to get Lily back almost undetected.

Nov 2009 Inadvertently causes Ryan to grow closer to Stacey and Lily as her plan to keep him once and for all backfires. Even tries to lock him in the Vic's cold store to prevent him from seeing Stacey. But her plans fail.
