Martine McCutcheon, 31, started life in Hackney, east London on 14 May 1976.

She attended the famous Italia Conti stage school and appeared in a number of ads, TV shows and plays before joining girlband Milan at the age of 15. Her big break came in 1995 though when she was cast as barmaid Tiffany in EastEnders.

She left the show after four years to pursue a singing career with her first single 'Perfect moment' entering the charts at number one.

She starred in the West End musical My Fair Lady as Eliza Dolittle in 2001 and the film Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, but her biggest role to date was alongside Hugh Grant in the hit film Love Actually.
