Chelsea Halfpenny: childbirth scene was scary!
27/11/2011 - 12:37

Emmerdale actress Chelsea Halfpenny has said that she has been left terrified of childbirth as a result of filming her character Amy Wyatt's labour scene.
The tearaway teen became pregnant after a one-night stand with Cain Dingle, but ends up giving birth in a graveyard after keeping it a secret.
"I watched that series One Born Every Minute to try and get an idea of what childbirth was like - and it was terrifying! It looks so painful," Chelsea told the TV Times.
"I'm not in a hurry to have a baby and I feel far too young. It must be so scary to have a baby at 17 like Amy. When I was her age I was doing A-levels and there's no way I could have coped with a child."
She also revealed that actor Jeff Hordley - who plays Cain - is very different from his bad boy alter ego.
"I love working with Jeff," she said. "At first I thought it was hilarious because Jeff is so normal and nice. Then someone says 'Action!' and he's got these psycho eyes and he's gritting his teeth and shouting at me."
