Emmerdale's Cain to be left fighting for his life

Emmerdale villain Cain Dingle is set to get his comeuppance after a brutal attack leaves him fighting for his life.

The village bad boy, played by Jeff Hordley, will discover the consequences of months of manipulation and destruction as one of his sworn enemies decides to take the ultimate revenge in the December whodunnit storyline titled Judgement Day.

John and Moira Barton - played by James Thornton and Natalie J Robb - are set to be among the suspects after Cain tore their marriage apart by having a steamy affair with Moira.

Cain's ex Charity Tate (Emma Atkins) and his love rival Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) also have a score to settle with the villain, after he began a campaign of terror against the Sharma family in the hope of destroying their relationship.

Amy Wyatt (Chelsea Halfpenny) joins the suspects list after her disastrous one-night-stand with Cain. He has turned her life into a nightmare since discovering she was pregnant with his baby.

Cain's own dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) could also take matters into his own hands.

Stuart Blackburn, Emmerdale's series producer, said: "The climax of Cain's story will be one of our most dramatic episodes this year, with viewers left to decide which of Cain's enemies has finally taken matters into their own hands."

The Judgement Day storyline will hit TV screens in early December.
