Pauline's clueless about how she'll exit Emmerdale

Pauline Quirke has revealed she hasn't got a clue how her Emmerdale character will be written out of the soap.

The actress's stint as art teacher Hazel Rhodes is coming to an end, but Pauline admitted she's still not sure what kind of an exit she'll be making.

"I don't know how I'll be leaving the Dales. I don't even know if it'll be with a bang or a whimper," she told the Daily Mirror.

"But they've said they're not going to kill me off, which is nice."

The Birds Of A Feather star, who has lost eight stone in 10 months, also defended her appearance on the show.

"I haven't worn make-up on camera for months, which hasn't exactly helped what people have called my 'haggard' appearance," she said.

And Pauline said she'll be sad to say goodbye to her co-stars on the ITV1 soap.

"I'll miss Emmerdale. It's the most beautiful location and I've made some fantastic friends."
