Nathan and Cain play the blackmail game

Nathan and Cain play the blackmail game

Natasha is panicking – and no wonder. Her future is now in nasty Nathan's hands and he seems keen for her to 'fess up and go to prison. Well, that would leave him in charge at Home Farm, wouldn't it? Just the thought of that power makes him giddy. Natasha's not ready to cave in, though, even when Maisie comes home. She gives her son two choices: help her or leave. But Nathan has no intention of doing either. He tells his mother he’ll go to the police unless she pays him not to – with everything she has. Careful, Nathan, there's plenty of room for you next to your dad...

Cain also decides to play hardball when Charity refuses to forgive him for the lorry hijack. He tells her she won’t get her share of the money from the satnav deal until she marries him. Ah, blackmail... not the best way to woo a woman, Cain.

Elsewhere in the Dingle world, Lisa has to go to court and is worried about the outcome of her trial. Sam, meanwhile, has to face Olena and Eli as they enjoy each other’s company at Wishing Well cottage. Eli with a girlfriend who’s not related to him – is that allowed in Dingle law?!

*Second episode, 8pm*

Blinded by a mother's love in the past, Natasha now how has face the evil, twisted Nathan that the rest of Emmerdale has had to live for months. He's enjoying taunting her and Natasha retaliates by slapping him. But she can’t bring him back into line and Nathan viciously tells his mother that if she doesn’t pay him off he’ll expose her as Mark's killer. Natasha gives in to his demands with one condition of her own: he's never to show his face around her again. If she expected that to make Nathan think again she’s disappointed...

Unable to bear the ill feeling between Charity and Cain, Debbie also wants to get away from home and tells Andy she's thinking of taking a break with Sarah. But is Andy going to like the idea of his daughter being away from Emmerdale?

Meanwhile, Mill Cottage is also the site of an unhappy home… Sure, Carl is doing better as a dad to Thomas and Anya but Nicola really isn't interested in playing happy extended families. Jimmy, though, is oblivious to the chaos caused by eight people living under one average-size roof. Perhaps he’ll take more notice after Nicola tells him it’s affecting their relationship…
