Leyla Harding
An attractive woman, Leyla Harding (Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi) has to fend off a lot of unwanted attention from the village menfolk.
2008 Gets a job as a machinist at Eric Pollard's factory and moves in with Pearl Ladderbanks. Explains she had been at university but couldn't afford to continue her studies.
2009 Reveals her mother's in a care home and she needs to make as much money as she can to pay the fees. Starts relationship with David Metcalfe and helps him win local council election. Becomes deputy manager of the Wyldes new farm shop.

Born 27 May 1980, Rokhsaneh Ghawam-Shahidi's work was mostly in the theatre and on radio before she joined Emmerdale in 2008. She had a small role in the TV series Sinchronicity in 2006.
