2001 Arrives in the village as Nicola Blackstock to be reunited with dad Rodney Blackstock and meet half-sister Bernice Thomas, who has recently married Rev Ashley Thomas. Falls for chef Carlos Diaz and gets him to propose by saying she's pregnant. He finds out on their wedding day she's lying and reveals he had an affair with Bernice. The wedding's off!

2002 Eventually reconciles with Bernice and is godmother to her daughter, Gabrielle. Seduces virgin Robert Sugden. Bridesmaid at friend Emily Dingle's wedding to Paddy Kirk.

2003 Establishes a cleaning business and dates fishmonger Simon Meredith. Has several run-ins with Rodney's new woman, Steph Stokes.

2004 Plans to wed Simon are scuppered by his mother.

2005 Tries to seduce her half-brother Paul's lover, bisexual Ivan Jones.

2006 Dumped by Simon and shunned by Rodney and Paul. Leaves Emmerdale in March after standing in The Woolpack and telling the locals what she thinks of them.

2007 Back in Emmerdale in September, claiming to be a rich widow. Seduces David Metcalfe away from Jasmine Thomas and they go into business. Angry Jasmine does some digging and discovers Nicola's elderly husband is alive but in a coma. Husband Donald regains consciousness in December.

2008 Nicola's husband plans to divorce her. Meanwhile, to David's disgust, she plans to kill Donald and makes several comical attempts but he dies of a heart attack. Has to live with father. Rekindles romance with David but works against him and Eric Pollard when they try to buy the church and David finishes with her.

2009 Hired as events co-ordinator at Home Farm. Starts a relationship with Jimmy King. Falls pregnant and moves into Mill Cottage. Gives birth to baby girl Angelica on 6 August and asks Jimmy to marry her.

2010 It's touch and go whether she'll make it to her own wedding as her court hearing is on them same day. Just manages to get there and becomes Mrs King. Jimmy and Nicola prepare to take over the Woolpack from Diane, but pull out at the last minute and she returns to work at Home Farm Estates.

Born 4 April 1974, Nicola Wheeler's first acting role was as Melanie Tindel in Coronation Street in 1999, a bridesmaid at Ashley Peacock's wedding to Maxine Heavey. Also had small roles in Poldark and Band of Gold before joining Emmerdale.
