Vet Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is great with animals but women are a mysterious species to him - especially the Dingle breed!
Marriages Mandy Dingle (divorced), Emily Dingle (divorced)
1997 Moves to Emmerdale as locum vet for Zoe Tate's practice. Starts relationship with Mandy Dingle. Becomes partner in vet's practice.
1998 Falls out with Mandy when she feels he doesn't do enough to help with the Dingles' financial difficulties. Wins back the Dingles when he delivers baby Belle on Christmas Day.
1999 Made godfather to Belle. Proposes to Mandy. Wedding ends in a brawl with Eric Pollard and he and Mandy spend wedding night in police cells.
2000 Mandy walks out and he turns to drink.
2001 Takes in Emily (Butch Dingle's widow) when she leaves the Dingles.
2002 Marries Emily in October.
2003 They foster Debbie Jones, who turns out to be daughter of Charity and Cain Dingle.
2005 Emily discovers his affair with Viv Hope and throws him out. Meets Toni Daggert.
2006 Has romances with Toni and Del Dingle. The women's battle for his affections ends terribly when Del pushed Toni into a pan of hot fat, scarring her for life. Paddy finishes with Del. Nurses Toni back to health but she eventually leaves him.
2007 Cousin Pc Ross Kirk moves in. Helps deliver Viv Hope's twins.
2008 Reluctantly takes the blame when Ross knocks down Genesis Walker. Discovers Ross's affair with mate Marlon Dingle's wife, Donna, and throws Ross out. Starts to fall for another Dingle - employee Chastity.
2009 Takes in Chas and her son Aaron. Starts relationship with Chas. Heartbroken when Chas sleeps with Carl King and throws her out.
