Kelly Windsor

Kelly started off as a veggie animal rights protestor but she turned into money grabbing maneater and she wouldn’t turn down an expensive fur!

1993 Moves up from London with stepmum Viv, dad Vic, sister Donna and stepbrother Scott. An animal rights campaigner, she plasters ‘Meat is Murder’ stickers all over the village store.

1997 Causes a scandal by having an affair with teacher Tom Bainbridge. They move in together, but split after she discovers he’s also sleeping with one of her schoolfriends.

1998 Falls pregnant to Biff Fowler but tries to convince her boss, Chris Tate, that the baby is his to extort money out of him. Miscarries when Chris’ stepmum, Kim, pushes her down the stairs. Later, her dad is killed in a post office robbery.

1999 Starts an even more scandalous affair with stepbrother, Scott after her marriage to timid Roy Glover. Falls pregnant but turns to drink, not knowing whether the baby is Scott’s or Roy’s.

2000 Tries to take an overdose in the cricket pavilion. Scott finds her and is rushed to hospital. Slips into a coma and loses the baby, and leaves for a new life in London.

2005 Returns to the village when stepbrother Scott is critically injured. Decides to stay and sets about seducing rich Jimmy King.

Adele Silva

Adele grew up in Norbury, near Croydon, Surrey. Her dad, George, a car park boss, and mum, Sophie, encouraged their only child’s acting abilities when she was young. Adele has been acting professionally ever since she was five and joined Peggy O’Farrell’s dance school in East Ham, London, before moving on to Sylvia Young’s theatre school.

Adele’s first TV role was in Dr Who, age seven, as a girl whose brother turned into a cat and she also appeared in several adverts, The Bill, and director Don Leaver’s film, The Chain. Adele was 12 when she was picked to play Kelly on Emmerdale.
