Carley Stenson 'upset' watching Hollyoaks

Carley Stenson has admitted to feeling "upset" when she watches episodes of Hollyoaks.

The Legally Blonde star, who left the Channel 4 soap in December 2010 when her character Steph was killed off in a fire, tries to keep up-to-date with the show, but confessed sometimes it leaves her feeling emotional.

"I try to, I'll tape the omnibus and sit down and watch them all. It upsets me that I'm watching them do things I don't do any more so I won't be able to join in on the in-jokes they are having," she said.

"It's a bit strange. It's like spying on your friends, but not knowing what they are going on about."

The 29-year-old - who returns as an angel for a one-off appearance in a Boxing Day episode - also attempts to stay in touch with her former co-stars.

"We always Facebook and Twitter - I've got to ring Nick Pickard back because he left me a voicemail. A lot of them come down to London to see me, which is really sweet," she said.

She even pops down on set sometimes: "I do like leaving it a bit long so that the cast and crew miss me. So I may pop back in another six months or so!"
