Hollyoaks' Andrew 'can't believe' he'll be on TV

Hollyoaks newcomer Andrew Still has to pinch himself over his new TV role.

The Scottish actor is set to make his acting debut as 'mysterious newcomer' Joel in the Channel 4 soap from November 22.

"I can't believe I will be on national telly in less than two weeks now," he admitted.

Andrew, who won the role after Lime Pictures producers spotted him at the Scottish Youth Theatre, had to keep the job a secret from his nearest and dearest for the past two months - despite suddenly relocating from Scotland to Liverpool.

"I had to keep it a secret from everyone, who were wondering what was going on. But all my friends and family have told me it's fantastic. I was living in Liverpool so I had to adjust to life in a new city. I had never been away from home before," he added.

Andrew revealed the Hollyoaks cast have welcomed him with open arms.

"It's been fantastic. Everyone's been really nice to me," he added.
