Hollyoaks cast to Sing For England

Cast members from Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks are to release a charity single in support of England at the 2010 World Cup.

The soap's celebrity football team, whose members include veteran cast member Nick Pickard, aka Tony Hutchinson, will release Sing For England on May 23 with all profits being donated to the Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.

Nick said: "All the lads in the team are passionate about football and we love playing regularly to raise money for charity, so it only seems natural to show our support for the England football team in South Africa by releasing Sing For England."

Alder Hey treats over 200,000 children and young people each year and the Hollyoaks celebrity football has already raised £50,000 for the hospital by taking part in charity matches.

Sing For England, released by the Swee Music label, can be pre-ordered from May, before it goes on sale on all leading digital download sites across 240 different countries.

Further updates about the Sing For England single and the Hollyoaks celebrity football team will be available e4.com/hollyoaks singforengland.com and twitter.com/singforengland.
