Hollyoaks' Montana won't sing on the soap
03/01/2012 - 17:05

Hollyoaks newcomer Montana Manning says her alter-ego Jodie Wilde won't sing on screen, despite her girl group background.
Despite being a former member of girlband Cookie, the actress plans to keep her singing and acting careers apart.
"Nope, I really want to keep that separate," she said.
But she admitted making the change from the stage to the small screen took little effort, adding: "I've always wanted to be involved with both music and acting so I found the switch easy."
However, Montana confessed she has one quality in common with her character Jodie.
"The one thing we share is our drive - I'm very ambitious!" she admitted.
She also joked that the Hollyoaks cast gave her some 'awful' initiation tasks that she can't reveal, but has been welcomed with open arms by co-star Holly Weston.
"Holly, who plays Ash, took me to Zumba on my first day," she said.
