Hollyoaks' Rob: 'Riley's nasty side may come out'

Hollyoaks' Rob Norbury has admitted there will be humiliation as well as hurt for Riley Costello on his wedding day.

The footballer is set to marry pregnant fiancee Mercedes Fisher, who has been having a secret affair with his dad Carl. But almost everyone knows about the affair and Mitzeee is planning to reveal all at the wedding.

Rob said: "I think that's one of the worst bits is the fact everyone else knows. It's embarrassing more than anything and it will take a real hit on his pride."

The soap star added that as his character Riley is so close to his dad and so in love with Mercedes the news is going to hit him hard.

Rob said: "Riley is the victim in all of this.

"He's madly in love with Mercedes, he's having a baby with her, and he's close to his dad, or so he thinks. He's always forgiven his dad his misdemeanours. I think it is the two people that he would trust over anyone.

"He's probably got the short end of it, but hopefully he's quite strong about things so he might be able to keep on top of it."

And the Hollyoaks star revealed the revelation could bring out Riley's nasty side.

He said: "I think he's always held in a little bit of anger, that's what he's always fought against.

"He's a good lad, but he understands that he could be quite big and intimidating and I think he's always held a little bit back, but I think this is one time when he won't be able to."
