Jennifer: 'Sylvain's very critical of Hollyoaks!'

Hollyoaks' Jennifer Metcalfe has revealed that her boyfriend, Dancing On Ice contestant Sylvain Longchambon, isn't afraid to voice his opinion about the soap.

The actress, who plays Mercedes McQueen in the Channel 4 show, met the hunky Frenchman when they were paired up on the last series of the ice-skating show.

Jennifer, 28, told OK! that Sylvain enjoys watching her on screen when he gets time off the rink.

Talking about some of her dramatic storylines, she said: "He loved all the Silas stuff. He's very critical, and always voices his opinion, but most of the time it's good!"

The actress is also looking forward to working with co-star Karen Hassan as friendship blossoms between Mercedes (Mercy) and Karen's character Lynsey.

She explained: "I don't get to work with many of the Hollyoaks girls - I've got more lad mates on the show, because of the nature of Mercy's storylines - so this has been really special, Mercy getting a more meaningful female relationship."
