A troubled lad from a difficult background, he struggles between living on the wrong side of the law and doing the right thing.

2006 Sleeps with schoolfriend and virgin Amy Barnes. Takes Amy and their mates joyriding but they crash and Amy nearly dies. Ste is up in court and disappears from the village.

2007 Ste returns to discover that Amy has had his baby, Leah, and they reunite and move into a council flat. Goes out on the rob to support his new family. Works for Loft owner Warren Fox and sets fire to Warren’s girlfriend Louise's salon Evissa when Warren sacks him. Deals drugs to make ends meet.

2008 Struggles to cope and beats up on Amy. Makes up a sob story that Leah has leukaemia when he's caught stealing but the lie spirals out of control and they are ostracised when the truth comes out. Amy leaves him and he attempts suicide but survives a fall.
