1997 Splits from Julie and dates a girl called Marilyn but later reunited with Julie – again! Julie dumps him at the altar. Goes to Newquay with the gang and sleeps with Carol Groves. Ends up juggling three girlfriends.
1998 Ex-girlfriend Tessie turns up and reveals she's pregnant and wants money. Tessie confesses she was lying about the baby to take revenge for being dumped.
1999 Forced to close down his video store when a competitor opens up nearby. Trapped in a giant water tank with Lucy Benson, Lewis Richardson and Ruth Osborne but plays the hero and saves his friends. Dates Lucy and gets a new job working for Mr Morgan in restaurant Deva.
2000 Horrified when mum Victoria starts dating his mate Finn.
2001 Stands against Gordon Cunningham for a seat on the town council. Calls a truce with Finn. Quits Deva to sell organic vegetables in the 'Yard'.
2002 Dates Izzy Cornwell. Ex-girlfriend Julie returns and they buy Deva together and rename it Gnosh Village. Proposes to both Izzy and Julie but loses them both!
2003 Has an affair with married Helen Cunningham but later dates her step-daughter Mandy and makes an enemy of Mandy's besotted stepbrother Max. Stars in a Gladiator porn movie! Cheats on Mandy with the recently returned Ruth.
2004 Learns that Ruth once aborted his baby. Mandy has a virtual breakdown and starts beating him up but the villagers assume Tony is the one who is violent. Mandy comes clean to everyone and agrees to see a counsellor.
2005 Tony leaves for a new life in Rome after Mandy turns down his proposal. Mandy has a change of heart and the couple are reunited and marry in Italy. Transforms the restaurant into an Italian, Il Gnosh. Mandy falls pregnant. Discovers that 'cousin' Dominic is actually his brother. The baby is born but is very poorly.
2006 Baby Grace recovers well but later dies of cot death. The grief splits Tony and Mandy up and Mandy leaves the village. Seduced by man-eater and jailbird Jacqui McQueen.
2007 Dumped by Jacqui, who marries an Albanian in a visa scam. Reunited with Jacqui, who miscarries their baby and left infertile. Tessie turns up and reveals that she really was pregnant all those years ago and he has a son Harry! Has drunken sex with Jacqui's sister Mercedes, who falls pregnant but has an abortion. Jacqui's other sister Tina offers to be their surrogate.
2008 Has contact with son Harry, despite Jacqui's jealousy. Tina has a baby boy called Max but struggles to let him go. Tony makes Jacqui hand Max back to Tina.
Nick was born in Chertsey, Surrey in 1975 and grew up in London, where his parents ran a succession of pubs. As a child he went to London's famous Sylvia Young acting school along with his brother, John, who now stars in Hollyoaks as Nick's on-screen brother Dominic.
Before joining Hollyoaks in 1995 Nick had minor roles in several TV series including Brookside and Grange Hill. Nick appeared in the first ever episode of Hollyoaks and is the longest-surviving member of the show.
Nick has dated two of his Hollyoaks co-stars, Joanna Taylor and Elize du Toit and he has also had relationships with ex-Holby actress Lisa Faulkner and beauty queen Donna Rowlands.
As well as teaming up on-screen, Nick and John have also paired up for a business venture – they own celebrity hang out the Chilled Eskimo bar in London's Notting Hill, which is run by their mum Maureen.
