Home and Away's Steve: 'Brax wants to kill Jake'
18/01/2012 - 09:26

Home And Away star Steve Peacocke has teased that viewers will soon see a darker side to his Summer Bay character.
The 30-year-old, who plays River Boy Darryl 'Brax' Braxton in the Australian soap, is set to become vengeful after discovering that Jake Pirovic (Fletcher Humphrys) left his lover Charlie Buckton (Esther Anderson) critically injured in hospital after being shot.
"He's a bloke who doesn't tolerate anything bad happening to the people he loves - especially Charlie. He wants to kill this bloke," he told Australia's TV Week.
The actor continued: "This is the Brax people have only heard about till now. He came to Summer Bay with a reputation, and the audience is about to see why he has that reputation.
"He's had to fight his whole life, and that side really comes out now as this is the worst thing that could happen to him."
While soap bosses and cast members are keeping tight-lipped over the outcome of the Charlie cliffhanger, stories have suggested that Esther is leaving the soap.
Rebecca Breeds, who plays Charlie's daughter Ruby, added: "Charlie's been shot, so it's serious, but there is hope and doctors are amazing these days. Miracles do happen and nothing is written in stone. There is definitely a chance Charlie could make a full recovery."
The scenes, which will air next week in Australia, will be shown on UK screens in February on Channel 5.
