Home & Away's Lisa hints at wedding bells

Home and Away star Lisa Gormley has hinted that her soap alter-ego could receive a surprise marriage proposal.

Australian magazine TV Week reports that one of Home and Away's residents will pop the question in a romantic twist in the year's end-of-season cliffhanger - which will be shown on UK screens in early 2012.

The identity of the bride-to-be remains a closely guarded secret, but Bianca Scott (played by Lisa) and Leah Patterson-Baker (Ada Nicodemou) are tipped to be in the mix.

Lisa revealed that Bianca will soon realise that former bad boy Liam Murphy (Axle Whitehead) is the man for her.

"This is probably the best relationship she's ever been in. Almost losing him put everything into perspective," she told the magazine.

"The [reason] why they broke up before wasn't because she didn't love him, but because of circumstances - his addiction, his lying, her rape..."

Leah could also find herself in a dilemma, if current partner Miles Copeland (Josh Quong Tart) or ex Elijah Johnson (Jay Laga'aia) decide to get down on bended knee.

Her relationship with Miles is under strain following the loss of their baby.

"They obviously love each other, but she's grieving and, unfortunately, is taking it out on him. She just hasn't coped with the loss at all," said Ada.

"She's been really, really unlucky and I feel for her - I'd just love for Leah to be happy. You never know what'll happen down the track," she teased.
