New Home and Away actress excited to play Ruby

Home and Away’s new cast member, Rebecca Breeds, says she loved her character straight away.
The actress who plays 15-year-old Ruby says the free spirited teen is exciting to explore.
"She pushes boundaries where I wouldn't and she has a lot of fun. She thinks she is so mature, but she's really young and innocent. She has a good heart and she loves her family."
No stranger to the small screen, Rebecca landed a role on Home And Away in the middle of filming for another series, teen drama Blue Water High.
Rebecca admitted: "I was in the middle of a scene and I saw I had a missed call, then could hardly wipe the smile of my face for the second take. I was with a colleague and we just screamed."
Ruby arrived in Summer Bay at the same time as her older sister Charlie, played by actress Esther Anderson. Rebecca says the pair have become firm friends.
"I don't have a sister," she said. "So it was great to start this journey together."
