A new 'Summer' to return to Neighbours
09/10/2009 - 17:25

Neighbours producers have recast the role of Summer Hoyland, who is due to return to Erinsborugh next year.
The character, who was the daughter of Max (Stephen Lovatt) and step-daughter of Steph (Carla Bonner, pictured), will be played by Melbourne-born teenager Jordy Lucas, the soap's Australian website reports.
Originally played by Marisa Siketa, Summer was a regular character between 2002 and 2005, and returned for a brief appearance in 2007.
When Marisa quit the soap, she said she planned to concentrate on her studies so she could become a vet.
Her replacement, Jordy, is a talented singer whose TV credits include Australian TV dramas Blue Heelers and Bed Of Roses.
