Glasvegas: 'Our highlight was visiting Neighbours'
03/08/2011 - 09:41

Scottish alt rockers Glasvegas have paid a visit to their favourite soap while on tour in Australian.
Three members of the four-man band - lead singer James Allan, his cousin and guitarist Rab Allan, and bassist Paul Donoghue - found time to take a tour of Neighbours' Ramsay Street and even called in on Erinsborough veteran Tom Oliver, who plays Lou Carpenter.
Other highlights of their visit included watching a scene being filmed at Lassiter's, a peek at the Kennedys' living room and a trip to Toadfish's house.
Paul wrote in the Scottish Sunday Mail: "We all watched the show when we were younger so we were transported back in time to memories of Scott and Charlene and eating dinner while Harold Bishop miraculously came back from the dead."
He added: "We've recorded in New York, Los Angeles and Transylvania, seen the Eiffel Tower and the Vatican, played amazing venues in cities all over the world, but our highlight so far was our trip to the set of Neighbours."
