Neighbours' Erin 'seeing double' as James returns

Neighbours star Erin Mullally has revealed the cast were treated to a double dose of the Napier family after previous star James Sorensen visited the set.

James, who used to play the role of Declan Napier, was replaced by Erin when he left the soap in 2010.

However he recently paid a return visit to the show - and the experience was a surreal one for his replacement.

"The two of us were playing with Ali and Gabriella, the twins who star as Declan's baby daughter India," Erin told Inside Soap.

"James looked at me and said 'Isn't this weird - the two Declans are playing with the two Indias'. It was a beautiful moment."

However Erin added that while he is pleased to see James when he returns, he tries to play the character of Declan in his own way.

"James has popped back to the set a number of times," he said. "I think he's pleased that I'm not trying to play Declan the same way he did - I'm finding my own interpretation."
