Neighbours' Jane Badler 'thrilled' by whodunnit

Neighbours newcomer Jane Badler has said it is "great" to be involved in the whodunnit storyline to mark the show's 6000th episode.

The American born actress, who has joined the soap as Paul Robinson's former business partner Diana Marshall, said that show bosses were trying to recreate the excitement of the famous 'Who shot JR?' plot from Dallas in the 1980s.

The episode - due to be shown in the UK on October 15 - sees Paul, played by actor Stefan Dennis, pushed from a balcony at the Lassiters complex - and there are several suspects.

"I'm very largely featured in the episode," Jane revealed. There's a kind of accident and there are major suspects. I'm one of several suspects.

"So it's kind of like a whodunit like "Who killed JR?" in Dallas, which was a huge thing in the 80s. They are trying to recreate that, so it was great to be a very integral part of that."

Other possible culprits include Paul's wife Rebecca, son Andrew, his stepson Declan Napier, his ex-wife Lyn Scully and lawyer Jarrod "Toadie" Rebecchi.
