Strictly Come Dancing contestant Denise Van Outen has revealed that her rigorous training sessions with dance partner James Jordan have left her covered in bruises.

Speaking to The Sun the Essex girl – who has previously stripped down to her undies for lads’ magazine shoots – said that while taking part in the series had left her with a newly toned body she wouldn’t be showing it off in public any time soon.

“I’m covered in bruises and all sorts. There is no way I’ll be getting my legs out in a hurry,” Denise said.

“Thankfully, I’ll be able to cover up with body stockings so I won’t have to flash any blackened flesh.”

However she added that she still managed to feel sexy on the dancefloor – depending on the routine.

“It depends what the dance is, some of them make you feel sexy,” she said.

“It is a nice feeling to move around the floor but I wouldn’t say if you are doing ballroom that you feel sexy because it is more of a romantic sort of dance.”

Meanwhile Denise – who is one of the favourites to win Strictly Come Dancing this year – lent her support to another reality show star, The X Factor’s Rylan Clark – who is also from Essex.

“Rylan’s from Essex and he’s brilliant so that’s why I’m supporting him,” she confessed. “But I’m very upset he knocked Kye Sones out. Kye is a mate so that was sad.”

Denise will take the floor at Wembley Arena with the other eight remaining couples on Saturday night’s show.
