Judy Murray has become the second celebrity to confirm that she will be in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.

After much speculation that she would be a contestant, Andy Murray’s mum has announced that she will definitely be slapping on the fake tan and sequins to take to the dance floor when the entertainment show returns to BBC1 in September.

“I’m a huge Strictly Come Dancing fan but a total armchair dancer,” says tennis coach Judy. “It’s going to be a big challenge for me and for whoever has to dance with me, but I absolutely can’t wait to get started!”

The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge announced last week that she would also be taking part in the series.
