Katherine Jenkins says she has no plans to move to the US, despite shooting to fame there on Dancing With The Stars.
The Welsh opera singer came second in the hit Stateside version of Strictly Come Dancing.
But speaking at the Glamour Awards, where she showed off her new toned figure, Katherine said she was staying put.
“The UK will always be my home. I’ll welcome opportunities to go there for work, but my friends and family are here,” she said.
Katherine, who split up with TV presenter Gethin Jones last year, said: “I was thrilled to come second on the show. Especially as I’m not American and nobody knew me there.
“But I felt incredibly welcome. It was an amazing experience.”
Katherine said she was ‘worn out’, having finally stopped dancing just days ago.
She said as she arrived at the awards: “It’s only been about 48 hours since I left LA but, surprisingly, I’m not feeling jet-lagged. I think it’s just because my body is so relieved, finally not to be dancing.”
Of her future plans, Katherine said: “I’ve had lots of offers since the show, but I’m concentrating on the music.”
