TV presenter Dominic Littlewood has become the latest casualty of Strictly Come Dancing.
after losing the judges’ vote to John Barnes.
Littlewood, who was partnered with Lilia Kopylova, failed to impress the judges and public with his paso doble, and as a result landed in the bottom two for the first time.
After both reprised their dances, the judges voted unanimously to save John and dance partner Nicole Cutler.
“As I am obsessed with rhythm and timing, it has to be John and Nicole,” Arlene said of her decision, while Craig Revel Horwood said he wanted to see “more Latin hip action” from the former footballer.
Bruno, meanwhile, saved John for “being a natural charmer. I want to see him doing the salsa,” he said.
After the votes, Len Goodman praised both the men. “Who would have expected Dom and Jon to come out and entertain us so beautifully? I thought you both did a great job.”
Dominic, meanwhile, was quick to congratulate John Barnes.
“The better man’s gone through,” he told Bruce and Tess, “I’m a big boy and I take it on the chin.”
“I can get on with my life now, and have a vindaloo tomorrow and not worry about the consequences when I’m dancing!”
Nine couples now remain, with the Viennese waltz among the dances they will be performing on next Saturday’s show.
