Dannii Minogue hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a catfight with new X Factor judge Cheryl Cole.

The Girls Aloud star has replaced former judge Sharon Osbourne on the fifth series of the hit ITV show, which starts on Saturday night.

Dannii, 36, told the Radio Times: “Everybody’s jumping on me going, ‘What’s Cheryl like? Are you two fighting yet?’

“Well, I’ve only had a few days of filming with her so far, so let’s wait and see.”

She said she had words of advice for Cheryl when she joined the show, telling the singer: “Have fun. Enjoy it. We’re all so passionate about music. This is what we love, so just be yourself. That’s what people want to see.”

Dannii said: “It’ll be interesting to see how she handles it.”

In the past, Cheryl, 25, has criticised Dannii, saying: “I think she should get all her plastic surgery reduced. She doesn’t look natural.

Dannii, who won last year’s X Factor with Leon Jackson, said of Sharon Osbourne: “We weren’t friends. We weren’t always fighting but Sharon made it clear that she didn’t like me, so she won’t be missed. Not by me.”

She said of Sharon’s decision to quit The X Factor: “It did (come as a surprise), because I thought she loved the show, but she must have felt it was her time to leave.

“It seemed maybe she was just a bit unhappy. The new line-up works brilliantly.”
