Frankie Cocozza has been axed from The X Factor, according to reports.
It is believed that Frankie, who has become notorious for his hard-partying lifestyle, was asked to leave the ITV1 talent show after “breaking competition rules”.
Frankie, 18, has been heavily criticised by fans of the show in recent weeks, who have questioned his singing ability.
And he managed to escape a double elimination on Sunday night, when boy band The Risk and veteran singer Johnny Robinson got the boot.
In a statement, Frankie said: “I’d like to apologise to Gary, my fellow contestants and everyone who has voted for me, but, as of Tuesday, I will no longer be in The X Factor.
“My life during the show has gone out of control and my behaviour off stage has over-stepped the rules of the competition. I no longer deserve my place in the show, so I am therefore leaving. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me.”
An X Factor spokesperson said: “Frankie is leaving the show today after breaking competition rules. He is going to take some time out before continuing his career as a singer. We wish him all the best for his future.”
Meanwhile, Frankie is currently at the centre of two Ofcom investigations.
He yelled: “F****** have it!” before the 9pm watershed after getting through on October 23.
And it’s been suggested that scenes of him out partying, may have glamorised alcohol.
An announcement will be made on Wednesday about Saturday’s show.
