Mary Berry will take on Simon Cowell in a bid to find the country’s top TV judge at the National Television Awards.
The organisers have come up with the new award which pitches the pair against each other at January’s ceremony.
Other names in the running include Simon’s X Factor co-star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Lord Sugar from The Apprentice.
Also nominated are The Voice’s Will.i.am, Darcey Bussell from the Strictly Come Dancing panel, David Walliams from Britain’s Got Talent and Dragon’s Den’s Deborah Meaden.
Other new categories created for the awards includes best Skills Challenge Show which pits The Great British Bake Off against The Apprentice and MasterChef.
The awards, hosted by Dermot O’Leary, will be shown live on ITV on January 21.
Doctor Who and Downton Abbey are in the running for the fiercely-contested drama category, along with Sherlock and Happy Valley.
Viewers can vote for their favourites now before a final shortlist is drawn up in January.
The last awards were dominated by Geordie duo Ant and Dec – who won the entertainment presenter award for the 13th year running.
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, which they host, won the entertainment programme award and they also picked up the prestigious landmark award.
