Louis Walsh has said he would be too busy to judge the US version of The X Factor – but confessed he hadn’t actually been asked.
The UK X Factor judge, who also manages Westlife and Jedward, claimed his acts took up enough of his time.
Louis said: “I’ve got enough on, listen I haven’t been asked, but I’m a manager first and foremost and I love doing that.”
But he believes Simon Cowell will have no problems conquering the US with The X Factor.
Louis said: “I think The X Factor would be the biggest show on television anywhere – I think if Simon’s involved it will be. He wants to be the best, he wants to be the biggest, and he will be.”
Meanwhile, Louis said he was pleased to see Simon settling down with make-up artist Mezghan Hussainy.
“I’ve know her for ages, they’ve been friends for ages, she’s a gorgeous girl. I like all his girlfriends,” Louis said.
Having jetted in especially for Elton John’s Oscar bash, Louis hit the green carpet at the Oscar Wilde: Honouring The Irish In Film pre-Academy Awards party.
When asked about Simon’s new romance, Louis explained: “I know the real person and he’s really a good man, whoever gets him is going to be lucky.”
Louis added: “He’s 50 now, maybe he wants to settle down.”
