X Factor’s only boyband JLS claim they are a challenge for their mentor Louis Walsh – but say he’s told them not to change.
The soulful quartet – Marvin Humes, 23, Jonathan Gill, 21, Ortise Williams, 21, and Aston Merrygold, 20 – say that Louis is totally behind them, despite being associated with ‘traditional’ boy bands such as Boyzone and Westlife.
“He’s told us not to change, he’s put us through on merit, on what he’s seen us achieve,” said Jonathan – aka JB, with Aston adding: “He wants us to be different to any other group that’s been before – we’re going to bring something new this year.”
Ortise added: “We’re a challenge for him – but I think he can see how he can make us a world-class act.”
Although JLS wouldn’t reveal what they would be singing on Saturday night’s show, they treated whatsontv.co.uk to a little taster of their talent. Watch below…
