X Factor judge Cheryl Cole apparently confronted Louis Walsh backstage after he voted off her strongest act, Laura White.
According to reports in the Daily Mirror, the Girls Aloud singer marched up to Louis after the show and said his decision was ‘clearly personal’.
A source said: “Cheryl was incandescent with rage and let her feelings be known. She was absolutely furious and was giving him what for. No one has ever seen her so angry, but she is really passionate about her acts.”
Laura White, 21, from Atherton, Lancs, was one of the favourites to win but was in the bottom two acts and was faced with a sing-off against Ruth Lorenzo.
Laura performed Somewhere Over the Rainbow to a standing ovation from the crowd, but she was sent home after Louis used his deciding vote to save Ruth.
Speaking on the Xtra Factor later, Cheryl said: “I actually feel numb. I feel shocked. I think it might have been a bit tactical if I’m totally honest.”
And on Sunday Laura added: “Cheryl was really angry last night. She doesn’t know whether it was a personal thing from Louis or what. I think she’s just really upset because she feels I was one of the strongest singers and she feels robbed.”
