Grimm
Watch, 9:00pm

From the makers of Buffy and Angel comes this eerie, supernatural drama based on every child's worst nightmare - imagine if all those bedtime stories of witches, trolls and wolves came true?!
Nick Burkhardt is a homicide detective in Portland, Oregon, but he's just found out that he's also a 'Grimm' and must keep the world safe from nasty storybook creatures. Tonight he's called out to the woods when the body of a girl is found - and she was wearing a red hoodie... Can you tell which tale gets the terror treatment in this first episode? What it lacks in special effects, it makes up for in dark humour, attention to detail and jump-out-of-your-seat moments. Great fun.

British sitcoms may not be as slick as their American counterparts, but if there's one thing we can do well (even better than making up memorable catchphrases), it's creating brilliant comedy characters.
