Will this two-part drama shed light on the 40-year mystery?
It's kept us speculating for almost 40 years, and now this two-part drama puts forward a new theory as to what exactly did happen to Lord Lucan. Rory Kinnear plays the charismatic English aristocrat, who vanished after allegedly murdering his children's nanny. This account, based on the John Pearson book The Gamblers, paints a highly unsympathetic portrait of Lord Lucan as he gambles away his fortune, tries to have his wife certified as insane and allows himself to become a puppet of casino owner John Aspinall (played by Christopher Eccleston). A little slow in places, but the promise of answers will keep you hooked.
