The Day Kennedy Died

Next week marks 50 years since the assassination of John F Kennedy, and as we prepare for a flood of TV specials, this Kevin Spacey-narrated documentary stands out because of its contributors. The fateful day of 22 November 1963 is played out minute-by-minute, but the story is told through interviews with those who were there, some of whom have never spoken about it before. We hear from Lee Harvey Oswald's neighbour and workmate; a bystander who was caught by a bullet ricochet; a doctor and a nurse who tried to save the President; and Jackie Kennedy's tortured Secret Service agent, who agonizes over being 'too late'. An emotional and sombre, yet captivating, watch.
