Sex: My British Job

Following on from her film Ghosts, about illegal Chinese workers in the UK, journalist Hsiao-Hung Pai teams up once again with director Nick Broomfield to expose the plight of Chinese sex workers. Armed with a pair of spy glasses, she poses as a maid in a north London brothel. Hsiao learns first hand how women are led into prostitution by being made to feel guilty about sending money to their families in China. As she's put under huge pressure to become a sex worker and is tormented by her boss Mary, the film becomes a deeply personal battle. A fascinating insight into a world where the normal rules don't apply.
