Stephen Tompkinson’s grumpy detective returns for a fourth series
...

Banks is celebrating his birthday and, for once, the dour cop almost has a smile on his face. But he's soon back to sporting his usual scowl as he suffers a personal tragedy, while a perplexing new case arrives on his desk. A young Estonian woman has been found murdered and forensics tell Banks that she was buried alive. The victim’s sister has also gone missing, and Banks quickly establishes a connection to a local man who’s running an escort business. Meanwhile, Banks has to cope with seeing Annie with a different man. Banks is a cracking TV cop and there's plenty to enjoy in this opening mystery.
