How are budget retailers able to sell their wares so cheaply?
Rich or poor, everyone loves a bargain. This two-part documentary goes behind the scenes to find out how budget retailers are able to give us the knock-down prices we demand – from the Sheffield-based online food shop that offers out-of-date items at low cost, to the Cardiff branch of Costco which sells everything from kitchen roll to eight-foot-tall teddy bears. We also meet coupon-obsessive Holly, who reckons her freezer contains 64 cut-price pizzas, and the car salesmen scrambling to sell 500 vehicles in one month to make a profit. This light-hearted but informative film is hugely entertaining thanks to the cheerful, hilarious characters that make up the story.
