A stirring series goes out on a high...

With more veterans of World War Two telling their stories, this documentary series comes to a fine end. This time, the focus is on the creation of a better world after the war – with fascinating contributions from pioneering black actor Earl Cameron, gay rights activist George Montague and novelist Diana Athill, who all influenced the move towards racial and sexual equality in the 1960s. We also hear from 101-year-old ex-soldier Gus Bialick, former Scotland football manager Bobby Brown, and 'Jarra Jim' Purcell, who survived Dunkirk and still runs, aged 93. Truly inspiring stuff.
