Loose Women

Loose Women

It's been another busy year for the matronly motormouths of ITV lunchtimes with Carol Vorderman and Scott and Bailey co-creator Sally Lindsay joining the panel. And whatever the line-up, Loose Women delivers on the feistiness front - always lively, provocative and surprising.

This Morning

This Morning

This was the year when telly's Dream Team split, as Holly Willoughby swapped early mornings at ITV Studios for even earlier mornings with her new baby, Belle. But it wasn't for long. Five months later the Willoughby returned and just to remind us what we'd missed, Phil memorably slipped into a little red dress to welcome her back. Now try getting that image out of your head...

Pointless

Pointless

The aim of this inventive quiz is of course to score as few points as possible in order to win the cash. Or as host Alexander Armstrong puts it: "Lowest scorers are the BIGGEST winners." We love the relaxed and amusing banter between Alexander and his witty assistant Richard Osman.

The Chase

The Chase

Quiz shows don't move much more speedily than this nippy little cracker, hosted by Law & Order UK star Bradley Walsh. Episodes end in a nerve-jangling supersplurge of questions as the Chaser tries to hunt down the brave contestants. They're up against some heavyweight opposition, too. Chasers Mark, Shaun, Anne and Paul have appeared in (and won) some of the biggest shows in quizland, from Mastermind to Brain of Britain.

Coach Trip

Coach Trip

If hitting the road for hours on end as you slog across Europe with a bunch of strangers isn't hellish enough for you, how about being voted off the ride whenever the others gang up on you? That's the idea behind this hideously addictive reality show, hosted by Brendan Sheerin - who as the show's relentlessly upbeat tour guide really does put the long into longsuffering.

Doctors

Doctors

Quite frankly, any drama that can survive to celebrate a double millennium of shows deserves some kind of medal for services to television. That was what happened to Doctors in February this year when it piped out the 2000th episode in its 11-year run - a truly remarkable achievement. With a long-running commitment to showcasing new writers and actors, Doctors deserves every last inch of its success.
