Kiefer Sutherland: 'I love Coronation Street'
18/05/2010 - 09:02

Kiefer Sutherland has revealed himself as a fan of Coronation Street - and also told how he recognises himself in The Office's David Brent.
The 24 star, who was born in Britain, added he definitely had the British "stiff upper lip".
Asked about his favourite British TV shows, he told the Radio Times: "When I was a kid there was always Coronation Street and more recently The Office.
"I love it but find it very difficult to watch - especially when I see myself in David Brent and think, 'I've done that'."
He added: "I also watch BBC news because the American news is so s***."
The actor told how he shed tears - as his 24 alter-ego Jack Bauer - as filming of the Emmy award-winning show reached its climax.
Asked when he last cried, he said: "It was a scene in the finale... well, Jack cried.
"I made a speech to the crew at the end and although I didn't cry, I did hit a point where I couldn't speak any more - I felt the wind knocked out of me so bad and my lip went and I had to try very hard to keep it together.
"That was the most emotional moment I've had in a long time."
On whether there was anything he would do differently, the party animal said: "Do I wish that I had mooned that guy in the karaoke bar the other night? No, I wish I hadn't done that. But I am happy with the nuts and bolts of my life."
